Chaeser laughed at Eileen’s tip. “Aw, and I was just planning on doing so!” He said, grinning, but it faded when he caught site of the pooca’s unamused expression. “…Well anyway, I’d better go tell Kfira, don’t you pups go anywhere!” But just as he was about to run off in the direction of the pack, Kalivo looked at him and said,
“But I thought Morgryff said you weren’t safe to be with.” He said frankly. “Especially after you digged a hole in his den looking for mice.”
Chaeser blinked, but quickly gathered himself, pawing at the young pup playfully. “Pfft! I was doing him a favor! I’m perfectly safe!” He woofed, his ears twitching, as they always did when he lied.
“Your ears are twitching again Chase.” Misty said, holding back a giggle.
Chaeser looked at her, his eyes narrowed in a playful manner. “No they’re not. Anyway! Enough chit chat, I have to go tell Kfira!” Before any other pups could say something else, he left, not quite catching what the other pups said about magical rainbows and ‘welcome to the crew’.
When he returned, the pups had already went ahead some ways. He panted as he caught up to them, plopping himself on the ground, right into a little patch of frost. He yelped and straightened just as soon as he lay down. “Gah! That’s c-cold!” He shook his brown coat with a shiver.
Jeff laughed, “You got your energy back pretty quick!” He hissed, grinning.
Misty giggled, “You missed Arriety’s aweshome poem chase! It was about our adventure!” She yipped, smiling.
Chaeser grinned, but it split into a yawn. “Hey, where’d the pooca go?” He said, looking around with big brown eyes. Though it was dark, the darkness of the pooca would still be visible, as the path and the rainbow both gave off enough light to see. The pooca was not visible though, and Patrick looked around with Chaeser with a disappointed frown.
“Aw, it just disappeared!” Patrick woofed, sniffing around.
Chaeser blinked, he didn’t mind that really. “Oh…well I guess it gave us all the help it needed to give us!” He said, scratching his ear. He stopped when a little flake of snow landed on his nose. He looked cross-eyed at it, and licked it off with a chuckle.
“It’sss sssnowing!” Betsy hissed with a smile, but it didn’t last long, as she soon started shivering. She, Jack, Xavier, Jeff and George all retreated to the warm places nearby, which was Chaeser’s thick coat and Misty’s little bag.
“Um…you’re welcome.” Chaeser said, looking at the two snakes wrapped around his neck. Betsy and Jeff grinned.
“Don’t worry fuzzballs, we’ll be at the rainbow’s end before you can say chee-“
CRACK!
Before Chaeser could finish saying ‘cheese’, the ground began to rumble and growl underneath him. Chaeser yelped in surprise as rocks began to tumble to the frosty ground. Stones splashed in the golden paint, speckling their fur. Chaeser scrambled backwards as the rocks came rolling down; he pushed away Patrick, and pulled Misty away from a falling rock the size of her head.
“NOBODY PANIC! NOBODY PANIC!” Chaeser barked, his eyes wide and his brown tail tucked between his legs.
The landslide had calmed by now, and now all there was was a pile of rocks blocking the path. Patrick looked at Chaeser and cocked his little head. “Hey, Chase, you’re the only one panicking.”
Chaeser, who had been running in circles, stopped abruptly and looked at the block in the path with wide eyes, then he looked at the pups—who were staring at him—and broke into a sheepish grin. “Heh…Hey, is everypup ok?!” He said, scanning the puppies carefully.
“Everysssnake too!” Jack hissed from inside Misty’s bag. “But I’m alright.”
The snakes all nodded, they seemed fine, but both George and Betsy had fallen into a pile of snow. They quickly slithered back onto Chaeser and shivered.
“I’m ok!” Misty yipped, her smile splitting into a very big yawn, followed by a growl from her belly afterwards.
"I'm alright too!" Patrick added, also yawning.
Chaeser sighed, “Good, everyone’s ok.” and, looking at Misty he said, “Pups, we’ll be stopping for the night.”
Misty smacked her lips and gasped, “What!? No way! We can’t stop now! Look, Bianca and Shep are looking for a way through the rocks!”
Chaeser looked at the two and sat down. “Hey, you two come back! It’s too late to go climbing up rocks.” He said, licking his chops. “And I’m starved.”
Patrick sighed and sat down. “But…the rainbow!”
“Chaessser isss right, it isss too dangerousss to go climbing rocksss now.” Xavier hissed, his blue head poking out from the bag slung over Misty’s neck.
“But Chaaaseeeerr!” Misty whined, “We’re so close!”
Chaeser put on his serious face and eyed Misty. “Misty, you all are tired, and you know, I don’t think that rainbow is going to fade anytime soon.”
Misty looked up at the rainbow, still shining brightly, though not as bright as before, due to the fact that it was nighttime. She looked back at Chaeser and giggled. “Your serious face looks funny.”
Chaeser frowned. “Hey! I’m out of practice with this responsible stuff! Anyway, how about we all find a good place to stay for the night, and at first light we continue, alright?”
Xavier nodded. “I’m up for that, and you pupsss should be too.”

Leofric’s fear of the dark shadows quickly melted when the puppies discovered that the owner of the voices they were hearing was friendly, or at least willing to munch on cookies. He was very happy that Chaeser could join the expedition, because now the group had a grown-up to protect them. Now there was nothing that could scare the little, holly-green wolf pup, and he trotted along with the other puppies with new energy. He kept turning to look at the silent pooka as the puppies walked along the path underneath the faint light of the rainbow, but now when he turned his head to look at its glowing eyes and shadowy mane, it was gone.
Oh well, he thought. It’s a mysterious creature. Mysterious creatures often did things with no explanation, but Leofric didn’t mind that it was gone. The young pup was happy listening to the others chatter, and he laughed when Sammy the snake chomped down on a moth, but he grew more and more distant as time wore on. Snow drifted light and cold from higher up the mountain, and a few flakes landed on his head and made his eyes droop slow, slow…His poor paws were sore from so much running and walking, and his legs ached, calling for rest. He swayed a little as he walked, his head heavy with sleep, but he wanted to continue on the adventure, so he plodded on after the others- he’d spurt forwards in short bursts as soon as he realized he was falling behind. He smiled a bleary smile when Arriety recited her poem, and he shook the sleep from his eyes and held his head higher.
“That’s a good poem Arriety!” He said. It was the best adventure poem he had ever heard, and he told her so. He wished he was as strong as Julius Caesar. He was thinking about armor and swords and battling foes when- CRACK!
Leofric bolted to attention, all drowsiness gone as small pebbles tumbled end over end down the mountain side above them. Diosca, further ahead than Leofric, barked “Run!” and Leofric suddenly realized that the faint rumble he was hearing was growing louder and louder and louder, and larger and larger rocks tumbled down the mountain after the first few pebbles. The puppies ran past him as the earth shook, and he jumped and spread his wings to scramble out of the way as the mountain’s side slid out from under his feet. He was just in time. Just moments before he cleared the path, the side of the mountain crashed down in a wave of rock, dirt, and vegetation. For a few moments of held breath, the rockslide seemed as endless as a waterfall, but the earth stopped moving- looking for all the world as if it had never moved at all. But now the path was covered, and a huge wall of earth and debris lay between the puppies and the end of the rainbow. Leofric sighed. He felt more tired than he’d ever felt in his whole life, and that was a lot. Six years in fact. He was too tired to climb, and too exhausted to even try flying. He sat on his tail and shivered as he stared up at the others already trying to get over the pile of rocks.
“Pups,” Leofric heard Chaeser say. “We’ll be stopping for the night.” Leofric sighed, allowing his entire body to deflate and slide to the ground. He was glad. He had had quite enough adventure for one day, and was ready for dinner, some sleep, and a full day of adventures tomorrow. Adventuring was hard work! He stared, dumbfounded, when Misty argued against stopping for the night. Did she ever get sleepy?!
“I-I’m hungry too!” Leofric supported Chaeser. The puppy’s stomach gave a very loud, gurgling growl. He curled into a small, furry ball close to Chaeser and Misty and closed his eyes. Yes, he supported any plan that included dinner and sleep.

Eileen stopped climbing the rocks from the landslide when she heard Chaeser's bark. She had only gotten a few feet up (Eileen wasn't a very good climber.). Sammy, however, didn't hear Chaeser and continued climbing. She was doing much better than Eileen, since she always loved to climb.
"Do we have to stop now? I'm not tired at all. And I'm so close to getting over this thing!" Eileen said, panting. She was very tired, and wasn't at all close to getting to the top.
"We're ssstopping?" Sammy hissed with a sigh. She was very exhausted and hungry, but the moth she ate was better than nothing. She slithered down the rocky base, and almost fell down. "I sssuppossse I should--we should--get sssome ressst, then." She said. She intended to chuckle, but she was so tired it sounded more like a moan.
Sammy went up a tree and coiled herself to the point when her head was barely poking out, resting on a low branch. When Eileen had finally gotten down she dug a little hole (Which was more like a dent in the dirt) under the branch Sammy was sleeping on and lay there curled up in a little ball, quickly dozing off.

Upon hearing Chaeser's call, Shep, who was currently slipping and sliding on a particularly gravelly patch of the mountain, was more than happy to oblige. Turning, he stumbled the distance back—which admittedly wasn't far—and came to a tripping halt in front of the others.
"Are we stopping?" Shep groaned upon noticing Sammy. His stomach answered for him, as it rumbled like an earthquake and seemed to shake the mountainside.
"What'sss that?" Bianca, who was beginning to doze off, asked as she raised her head. "Another landsssslide?"
Shep laughed. "That's my stomach, Bianca. I've only eaten a few cookies today."

(OOC: Where did you leave off? If you read my latest post, I had to catch up with quite a bit, so it's a bit of a summary of what's been going on. Then just read everyone's latest post and you'll be caught up to speed. Page 13 and 14 are all you really need to know anyway. Misty's latest post is also a good summary.)

Lady jumped in shock after hearing Shep's stomach grumble, then sighed in great relief when she realised it wasn't another landslide. "I guess we can stop, if food's involved! But we must make sure we don't doze off when a landslide is taking place." Lady said, dropping onto the floor.

"Stopping sounds g-g-gooooood," Diosca said, her last word a yawn. "Should we stay here to sleep or find somewhere else? Maybe we should move a bit further from the mountains... you never know, there might be another landslide!"

Arrietty kept quiet and for the first time on this trip she was shy. "I.. I... I'm scared of climbing..." she whispered guiltily drooping her ears.

Lynn, who had been huffing and puffing ever since they started the nasty climb, collapsed onto the jagged rocks right when he heard Chaeser's bark. "Oh, thank the almighty!!!" he gasped, breathing heavily. "I gotta cut back on the chocolate chip..." he grumbled. Then suddenly he heard Chewwy's scream, and scrambled up onto his feet and perked his ears. A fox-length away, he saw her scrambling on the rock face. Something seemed to be grabbing her! "Gah! Chewwy!" he yowled, racing to her side. " What in the name of Lunaryk happened?!"

"Chewwy!" yelped Arrietty from the bottom and for the fear of her friend, reluctantly but quickly scrambled up the rock face until she could somehow see the thing that was reaching for her, it was small and aparently strong but apart from that she could tell nothing else.

Lynn looked over Chewwy's head to her back paws and legs. Twined around them like a snake around it's prey, were spiky ivy tendrils, that ran toward a small bramble thicket near a copse of trees at the side of the mountain. "Ok, ok, hold still. We'll get you out of thi-" Lynn cut off abruptly in horror as the tendrils slowly but surely began to drag Chewwy toward the thicket. "NO! Chewwy!" He yowled, leaping toward her and grabbing her front paws. The ivy was very strong, and Lynn dug his hind legs into the ground as he struggled to stop Chewwy from disappearing into the shadows. "I could use a bit of help here!!!!" he gasped, panic making his voice rise in pitch.

Chaeser nodded. “Alright, I’ll go hunt something then! You pups stay here and get some sleep, you snakes might want to come with me.” He said, gesturing to the leg-less reptiles who were curling themselves around the necks and legs of the yawning puppies. They nodded, preparing to slither towards the wolf, but just as they did, Chewwy yelped, "Guys! Help! I'm stuck!" Some puppies rushed over to her, trying to pry apart the pup from whatever was keeping her captive, though the darkness of the sky inhibited most of their vision, shadowing the rocky, snowy mountainside, though the rainbow and the golden path still shone softly. Misty ran too, she scurried over to Chewwy with surprised orange eyes, yapping and barking in concern. Chaeser swallowed back a frightened yelp and ran to the gathering crowd. He pushed through the fur with his nose. “Careful pups! This could be dangerous!” He said, breaking through the small crowd. He yelped in surprise and reached forward to grab the puppy, but upon doing so, he fell forward and got himself tangled up. In a flurry of fur and paws, Xavier slithered forward cautiously. He squinted his little black eyes, and after a few moments, threw his head back and hissed, laughing. “That isss no creature! That isss a bush you got tangled up in!” Chaeser stopped struggling against the bush and looked at his paw, which had been caught in the thorns of the sticks and twigs of the shrub. He yelped from the stinging pain and removed his paw with a yip. “Ouch!” Misty giggled, relieved that is wasn’t anything else. “Are you two ok?” “I’m alright, I think sleep is messing with our eyes, we need to rest.” Chaeser said, plucking the little thorns from his paw. Patrick, who had been watching worriedly from the sidelines, nodded tiredly and yawned. “What about dinner though?” “I’ll go out hunting, you guys just stay asleep, ok? I’ll be back with some mice. Don’t go running off or getting tangled up in any more bushes.” Chaeser replied, chuckling. He ran off after checking to make sure everyone was organized, and Misty, Patrick and the other snakes went back to their sleeping spots to sleep. Xavier and George stayed awake to keep an eye on the pups, and to make sure there were no more surprises.

(OOC: Hey Zelda! I like the idea, it goes with the plot and such. However, right now it would be best if all the pups were sleeping. If they went off traveling with an elf, they might never sleep, and that wouldn't be very good for them. x3
If you could introduce this idea in the morning (RP time of course) that would work out a lot better. At the moment, I think the pups have had enough adventure for one day, and they are all very tired. :3
But other than that, sounds great. ^-^)

Sammy was already asleep when Chaeser had asked him and the others to join him while he was hunting. But then she had suddenly woken up when Chewwy suddenly screamed. "Guys! Help! I'm stuck!!"
"EEKSSS!" Sammy suddenly exclaimed. She couldn't see very well with all the pups gathered around Chewwy, but all she knew (Judging by what she heard, mainly) was that Chaeser went over to see what was pulling Chewwy, and suddenly Xavier announced it was just a thorn bush Chewwy got stuck in. Relieved that nobody was hurt, she went back to sleep. She was even more relieved when Chaeser told the snakes that he was hunting, and that they should get some sleep. There are sssome shrubsss that can really get a good grip on you! Sammy thought. But she was too tired to even murmur it.
"What just happened?" Eileen said yawning. She had just woken up. "Nothing, jussst go back to sssleep." Sammy said in a soothing voice.
"Thanks." Eileen murmured to him, smiling. She rolled over on her side and dozed off again.

"Thank goodness you're not hurt!" Lynn sighed with relief once Chewwy was safe. Soon everyone calmed down from the accident, and the clearing became quieter and quieter as more and more pups drifted off to sleep. Lynn was laying down on a soft spot of moss for the night, when a scary idea came to him. How could a bush pull an entire pup like that? Was someone pulling the tendril and trying to trap Chewwy? Glancing back at the thicket a few paces away, Lynn wondered what kind of creature would do such a thing. Slowly, Lynn lowered his head to his paws, facing the tree copse filled with shadows. I'll have to check first thing in the morning..... make sure there is no funny business going on....

Diosca, having run over to see had happened, stared suspiciously at the bush. Bushes don't just leap out and grab pups... She gave it a final glare before laying down to rest.
