Like a powdered sugar shaker over a stack of fresh pancakes, snow covered the field in an amazing white blanket this morning. A snowday at the Hangout! We were super excited, and set to work almost immediately-we had to finish our hide and seek game first-and started building a snowman. It was me, Misty, and Bear and Lucy. Liza and Locke don't much like the cold, you know.
Anyway, soon we more insulated species didn't like the weather either. One snowflake multiplied into a flurry and the wind began to blow at us with a terrible temper. I almost became the snowpup! I could hardly see in front of my eyes- all I could make out was the brown blob of Bear's silhouette amid the icy blur. Lucy had all but disappeared, but I figured she was the one pushing me back to the den. We made it ok, but I sort of wished Master was around to pop some popcorn, 'cause, you know, it would fit the scene.
So, why am I telling you a story today? Well, to explain why this fluffy little gryphlet looks so distraught!
Codename: Snowy
Adopt pets at Misty n' Friends!
Well, she looked troubled at first. Now I think she's just happy to see you. We've been waiting for you to come around! We found Snowy after the snow storm calmed down. We tiptoed back outside to see if our snowman had survived the storm, but we instead found a white spotted owl gryphlet. Bear tried to call for her, but she was quite distracted, seeming to be in a frantic search for something hidden in the snow.
Now I've gotten distracted! I was just about to go help her now!

Hi again! Now that Christmas has been saved for that dear lil' critter, and I've got my popcorn, I think I'm going to write my letter to Santa Paws too. Well, after I lend Lucy a hand--well, paw--with the pencil. Her hooves aren't very dextrus when it comes to keyboards and little wooden sticks (or wax sticks, if you're using the more colorful medium). But, neither are mine.
We critters don't have hands, after all!
Signed,
p.s. Merry Christmas!
