Well hello! I'm Nite_Spriter but a lot of people call me Nite. I have been around the adoptable site scene for about 5+ years now which I started on facebook. I used to play FluffFriends on facebook until that got sold by the original owner and the company made the game horrible and not fun to play anymore. I moved on to newer and better places like Dragon Cave. I have been playing there since 2009 and used to sprite for holiday events for them. I also played at other adoptable sites like World of Umbria, Project Nyokia, MagiStream, Aywas, FlightRising and NeoPets. I currently just browse adoptable forums and see what new games people have been created and came across this little gem. Misty and Friends seems like a great place and I look forward to upcoming events and maybe even lending a hand at ideas if the owner ever wants ideas Anyways, I will prolly use my thread as my referral thread too so my other friends can come and sign up. I look forward to playing and getting to know everyone! XoXo, Nite_Spriter

Heya Nite. Ooh, some competition for the referral contest? I'm game. XD I haven't actually played a lot of adoptables site besides this and DC. I play a bit of Flight Rising but both the community (the icky 10% anyway) and the game itself was a mess, sooo I left. xD Anyway, we do have an ideas board (last I checked anyway) so check that out if you're interested.

Hiya TLOSpyrogirl!
Should I call you TLO or Spyro? I love the Spyro games for PS! I gotta agree with you about FlightRising being a mess! A lot of adoptable games I have played have some pretty lame cons to them. I think the best method is to just play the game and not get involved with people. The more you hear about other's complaints about a site, the more you start to see those problems too and it just brings you down. The less you get involved, the less likely you'll find something you dislike about the games you play, at least that's how I have stuck around for so long with a lot of places.
XoXo, Nite

You can call me anything, my general handle is Toodles but I also go by TLO. I don't mind other nicknames, also. xD I love the original Spyro games and TLoS Though the middle games, while awkward, will hold a place in my heart. Even if they were bad. XD Yeah, that's true. I got too involved in drama too early into the game, so my opinion of it darkened before the good parts could solidify. Well, it was probably best anyway, because the monthly coli grinding was starting to damage my wrists. xD I actually want to make an adoptables site similar to DC someday, but mixed in with mechanics from Flight Rising, like breeding/colour/genetics, clothing, etc. And not just dragons. I also had another idea for it but that part's a secret, it's what'll make it REALLY unique. xD

Yeah FR has a unique site and has a lot of nice stuff to offer but there's some drawbacks like grinding. I like sitting on the computer a lot but grinding was very repetitive and boring after awhile. People never cared for lineages or purebred dragons either which really turned me away. I have like 12 2nd gen purebred Imperials but no one gives a butt about them unless they are XXX, XYX, XXY n all that non-sense. I had an awesome lineage of gen1's that matched the houses of Harry Potter but no one was interested. I like the site but it's built around keeping people at the game for hours on end with very little reward.
Your idea for a site sounds very cool. I've been working on something myself for awhile now but it's still in its infancy. I hope to bring together most of all the good things from adoptable sites and less of the bad like time consuming things. Make sure you try and look at the pro's and con's of different sites you play at and try to improve the con's in some sort of way. You will also want to do months even years worth of research and background stuff before even releasing the site. It will pay off in the end if you don't have any loop holes and always have lots of stuff in backup for releases and such.

Yeah, lineages never seemed to matter on FR... I guess because it wasn't presented very obviously. I barely remember what lineages looked like. Another reason I quit was because even if I had pretty dragons, no one wanted. They only wanted the "trends" and the XYX and whatever. I could post in about a million threads and get no response. It got kind of annoying having to pretty much give away all my pretties at 4000 gold. I didn't feel like I was ready for a hatchery, which is the only other way to get any attention. -_-
Yeah, of course. Before I even start, I need to learn website and Flash coding. Then I can experiment and see what works. XD Hey, whenever you release your site, let me know. I'd love to try it. ^^

Hi again, Nite! xD Wow, you've got quite a bit of experience with adoptable sites, don't you? I'd definitely like to check out you two's websites once they're up and running. :3
