Google says Pixel 6 Wi-Fi and other issues will be fixed in March February 26, 2022by Martin 6 Google Pixel 6 front and back Source: Pocketnow The Google Pixel 6 series are some of the best Android phones on the market today, but like all Pixel phones made in the past, it comes with a few software issues. The February patch introduced a new problem related to Wi-Fi. Connecting Wi-Fi randomly or when the device goes to sleep frustrates users as they miss important notifications or use up their mobile data. Google has acknowledged the issue and promised to fix it in the upcoming March update. Several reports on Google's support forums and Reddit confirm that many have a Wi-Fi connection issue, and some also report similar issues for Bluetooth.
The current fix involves manually turning Wi-Fi and Bluetooth C Level Executive List options on and off, which is far from ideal. Fortunately, a Google representative acknowledged the problem from the archives (via XDA-Contributors ) and said that the March security patch will solve the problem that many Pixel 6 users are having. “Thank you very much for reporting this issue, we're sorry you encountered it. After some investigation, we identified the root cause and found that it affects a very small number of devices. Of course, we understand that this is a bad practice and immediately developed a software fix that will be available in the next Google Pixel Update that will be available in March. If you would like to explore other options at this time, please contact our support team who will be happy to assist you.” The Google Pixel 6 has received numerous reports of software issues, and there were also reportedly some hardware issues when the device was launched last October.
We've heard reports of flashing and green lines , low battery speeds , slow and faulty fingerprint sensors , network issues , and much, much more. To make matters worse, the December and latest security patches were supposed to fix many problems - and while they fixed many of the reported problems, they introduced new ones. Needless to say, this is not the experience anyone wants when buying a device at a premium price, and users are unhappy. We just have to wait and see if Google will fix the problem in the next update and if it will introduce any new software bugs.
