Misty n' Friends Forum and Roleplay Rules
Players can be banned for not following these guidelines.
- Please read and put them into practice to ensure a safe, fun, and friendly experience for everyone.
For the Forum and Private Messages
1. Treat all staff and other members with respect.
Teasing, harassing, or any sort of bullying (through private message or on the forums) is unacceptable. If you have a problem with a specific member, contact me or report them.
Respect all moderators and staff. As admin it is my responsibility to assure that everyone has a safe, fun time, if I do anything it is for that reason.
2. The Misty n' Friends site and its content must stay family-friendly and polite at all times.
MnF is a family friendly site. Inappropriate comments, images, stories, links, videos, etc. are not acceptable. This includes scary/disturbing content and the names of your account/pets.
As admin I have the right to delete any content I find breaks this rule.
3. Do not cuss or use bad language
On the lines of being family-friendly, crude language is also not allowed for the sake of those who find it offensive. Censored words (such as ****) as well as rude acronyms (WTF, STFU, etc.) are not acceptable either.
Certain mild swearwords, such as crabnuggets, darn, and Frog are strongly discouraged, but you won't get in trouble over it unless your vocabulary seems to be saturated with them or you use them against a member.
Try not to use God's name in a disrespectful way. A lot of people find this offensive.
4. Do not spam.
Spam is considered:
Posts only one word/smiley long.
Completely irrelevant posts in a topic. (i.e. "OMC I LUV TACOS" in the FAQ topic, for example.)
Or any other posts that one would consider repetitive, pointless, or off-topic.
5. Do not share any personal information.
If anyone asks for your full name, address, number, or any other personal information report them immediately.
You may not share your name, birthdate (birthday is fine), address, phone number, city, school, photos of yourself or your family members/friends, etc. This includes linking to this information through your profile or private messages.
As MnF is a kid-friendly site, safety is an important issue. I will delete any personal information you share and if you have been reported for requesting a member's personal information you will be penalized.
This rule also applies to adults on the site.
6. Art theft will not be tolerated.
Do not claim, copy, edit or sell (for real or virtual currency) someone's art (including their literary art or photography) without their written permission.
When sharing art, always credit and link back to the original artist.
If you use a free lineart, tutorial, dress-up or designer game you must link back to your source and follow the original owner's rules.
ALL Misty n' Friends images are copyright to me (Meesh). Do not edit, copy, re-sell/re-distribute or claim these images as your own. Further rules on using MnF's art can be found here (click)[/a).
Art theft is taken very seriously on MnF. You can easily be banned for breaking this rule, so please respect the artist!
If you ever need help developing your own art skills you can always discuss it with fellow artists, myself included.

All pets displayed on this site or in the Critter Caves already have owners (unless otherwise stated). Just because there isn't a name on them does not mean you can claim them as your own.
Within the forums or private messages do not share/post the image of another member's pet unless you have their express (in writing) permission.
This rule includes adoptables from other websites.
8. Use each board for its specific purpose.
Each forum category and board has a specific purpose, so please be sure you make a topic in the correct one and try to stay on topic. If you cannot find what you are looking for, contact me so I can improve the functionality of the forum (or point you to the right place).

Adopting pets is done through the forum and through several different methods. Be sure to follow the guidelines, and play fair! Cheaters will automatically be disqualified and suspended from trying to adopt (for how long depends on how serious).
Play to win, but be a good sport if you do not end up getting the pet. There will be other chances.

Roleplay Guidelines
1. Treat fellow roleplayers with respect.
Teasing, harassing, or any sort of bullying (through private message or on the forums) is unacceptable. If you have a problem with a specific member, contact me or report them.
Respect all moderators and staff. As admin it is my responsibility to assure that everyone roleplays safely and in accordance with the general MnF rules.
2. All roleplay topics and content must stay family-friendly at all times.
Please do not include the following in your roleplay topic and posts;
Character Reference Sheets;
- Do not use images, videos, or links that are gory/violent/show too much skin or are otherwise inappropriate
- When finding reference pictures make sure they are either free to use (such as pictures from popular movies and TV), made by you, made for you, or in the public domain.
- Do not take other people's copyrighted art or their characters.
Roleplay Themes;
- Horror (i.e. a creepypasta theme)There are certain themes not allowed on MnF
- Torture
- Any forced, violent action cannot be included in the theme of your roleplay
- Excessive gore
In general any themes involving violence, romance, and gore must not be excessive, crude, forced, or otherwise extreme.
Writing;
- Violence cannot be overly graphic, include excessive gore or disturbing behavior, or be done repeatedly
- Killing, death or injuries can be included in your roleplay, but please do not make it overly descriptive or violent, and always with the other player's (who is roleplaying the character) consent - Romance cannot be overly descriptive, forced/violent, or otherwise excessive
- Romance scenes will be restricted to kissing (human) or nuzzling/licking (animal). No "fading out" or descriptive scenes.
- Your characters may have children, but please refrain from describing the birthing process (you may "fade out" in this case)
- Do not cuss or use bad language in your characters' dialogue or anywhere in your posts.
4. Do not spam.
Spam (for roleplays, specifically) is considered:
Posts only one word/smiley long.
Posts outside of character that are unnecessary ("OOC" means "Out of character", which you are free to use when needed)
Chatting on the roleplay threads about irrelevant topics
Double posting
Or any other posts that are pointless, repetitive, or irrelevant.
5. Keep your posts as literate as possible.
We're not going to chase after you with pitchforks if you make a typo (it's hard to avoid them with Tipo around XD), but please follow the basic rules of grammar when writing your posts.
- No posts in all CAPS
- No text talk; it's hard to understand and does not follow general grammar rules
- Try to use proper punctuation and spelling
6. Follow the individual RP's rules.
Individual roleplays will have their own guidelines, so be sure to read them and put them into practice.
7. When roleplaying a Lunaryk based RP;
Please follow the basics of the Lunaryk culture (that can all be found here). Of course, feel free to get creative about areas that have not been explored yet.
- Misty's canon world is a bit different from her "Hangout" world, which is based on how she sees the world through her imaginative, seven-year-old wolf pup viewpoint.
8. Read and follow all general forum and site rules.
Please remember that MnF's goal is to provide a safe, fun, and welcoming atmosphere for adults and children alike. The rules are there to help encourage that. But as always, if you have a problem or question feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to help!
