St.Patrick's Day Event~ Gold Rush RPG

[Lizy]

"A meeting...a meeting...of course!" Chewwy said, "Oh why not, are we here guys? What do we need to know? "
She began to sing "A meeting, a meeting, A meeting for the pups, a rainbow a rainbow and his lovely scent..."
Suddenly she stopped singing and stared embaresed to the ground.
"Sorry guys, I will shut up"

[Marsh]

"Don't be embarrassed Chewwy! It was a nice song!" she told her "Oh and I think a meeting will be useful!" she said padding over to Misty and sitting down near her so she would be close enough to hear clearly.

(Sorry if my posts are rather short, I'm only really used to PRPGs and I get confused easily with so many players posting at once)

"Hey,” Lynn caught Leofric’s attention with a nudge on the shoulder. “Do you think you can do a quick fly-by over the trees, and see if you can spot anything at the end of the rainbow?" Leofric nodded.

“Yeah!” He said, why didn’t he think of that before? He stretched out thin, insect-like wings and jumped high into the air, flapping the delicate membranes vigorously. It took a few tries, but he finally managed to stay hanging in the air above Lynn, his eyes squeezed shut as he pumped the leaf-shaped wings up, down, up, down. He climbed higher in the sky and looked out towards the end of the rainbow. The rainbow stretched out towards the edge of the valley of Lunaryk, a large arch from one side of the valley to the other. Below him were rolling hills of grass with scattered clumps of trees growing near the blue ribbon that was the stream. The golden path shimmered, inviting anyone who passed it to walk along and follow it’s trail. For a long while it seemed to follow the rainbow, where the hills grew higher and sharper as they neared the distant mountains. Even when the river curved away and cut its own path through the foothills, the golden path followed under the rainbow’s shadow.

Was he wrong about the path being dangerous? The path was dangerous, he was sure of it, but…He looked down at Lady, Shep, and the others who had tasted the enticing path. They were fine. A little silly, but otherwise unharmed. He looked up again, his eyes following the path as far as he could see. He couldn’t see where the rainbow ended, but the path looked like it went straight to it. Of course, Leofric was a puppy, and puppies cannot fly very high, so there were a lot of things that he couldn’t see, and a lot of things that he couldn’t tell the other puppies, a lot of mysterious things the puppies couldn’t know until they got there.

One thing was that the rainbow led right to the edge of the world (a very long way for puppies, almost as far as the North Pole), and another thing was that the golden path went to some place very different. Where it goes not even I know, for it is a very secret place. It is shrouded by mystery, nestled into a corner of the cliffs and steep slopes of the canyons at the foot of the mountains. Few have seen the creature that lives there, and fewer have returned once they meet it. Stories say that it will come out when travelers wander near the end of the rainbow, searching for the fabled treasure at the end of the multicolored arch.

But Leofric was ignorant of all this, and wondered if maybe the path was safe after all. He was still very suspicious of it, but maybe Patrick was right. Even if the path was dangerous, if it led them in the right direction why worry about it? He plopped down in the circle of pups surrounding Misty and Patrick with a thump.

“I looked ahead!” He puffed out his chest proudly and folded his thin wings, happy that he did an important job on this adventure. “I saw the path going the same way as the rainbow, and I didn’t see any trolls. They could be hiding somewhere, trolls always hide in rocky places, the rainbow goes all the way over there,” he pointed in the general direction of the rainbow, to where the distant mountains rose high above them. “I couldn’t see the end, but it goes a long way, maybe to the mountains!”

“I don’t like the path,” he continued, and his ears flattened a little. Chewwy sang a little song, and Leofric giggled and relaxed. “But everybody’s ok, and I’m ok, so that’s a good thing, right?”

(OOC: If something about my post doesn't make sense please let me know. I'm experimenting on a few things as I go along here. )

"Nice job Leofric!" Elrohir said happily. "I'm with you, the path sounds dangerous." He thought for a second. "However, is the path more dangerous than going through the trees and not following any path at all? I guess that would be OK as long as you keep going up to check our position..."

[Shinki]

"I can do that!" Leofric said as he nodded, excited about being a very important part of this adventure. There was no way he was going to mess up this time. He would be Eagle-Eye Leofric. The scout on this mission. He hoped the others would like that idea as much as he did.

[Brownie]

"That would be very usssefull indeed!" Hissed Sammy.
Eileen nodded and said, "Yes, I would definitely prefer following the path, just as long as we don't lick it. And either way there might be creatures in hiding."
"Do you think we'll make it in time, though? You sssaid it went all the way to the mountainsss, and not even I am as fassst as sssome sssnakes are. Perhaps along the way we might get a lift? Who knowsss." Said Sam. She started to look a little worried once she climbed a fairly tall tree and saw Nayati and Sashi, the twin mountains looking down at them.
Then she had a random thought--what if they could call Kfira? But then she gave up on that idea, for Sammy thought, How are we sssupposed to summon a gryphon...Essspecially Kfira? That will never work out. Besssidesss, there are far too many of us for her to carry. But these thoughts were kept in her head, which was very active at the moment. Usually Sam spoke her thoughts, but this time she chose not to.

[Marsh]

"I'm for whatever you guys go for!" she said cheerfully

[Horsie]

"Guys..." said Diosca slowly... "What happens if we can't get to the end of the rainbow? It seems to stretch a long, long way, and the sun's getting lower and lower in the sky, look!" She pointed her puppy nose at the sun, which was quite low, making the sky a beautiful mixture of pinks and golds and oranges.

Lady looked up into the beautiful sky. The sun sent a red glow mixing with the pink clouds creating a magical setting.
"All we can do is try." She said to Diosca. "If we all work as a team and try our best we are bound to get there right?" She said hopefully, but anxiously. "I'm fine with following the path, if that is what you all want to do. Besides, luckily we all know the side effects now!" Lady giggled as she plodded along side the pups.

Lynn nodded slowly when Leofric had landed and quickly told them the news. "Yeah, maybe the path is a good route. It's better than just wandering around and ending up lost....but..." Lynn paused and furrowed his eyebrows as he glanced back over to the shiny golden pathway. It seemed to be the absolute perfect guide to the end of the rainbow, laid out neatly for all the pups. But that seems a little TOO easy.... was there something about this path that we have no idea about? "...but if we're following the path, we should probably be extra cautious when we approach the mountains. We don't know what we will find there and we don't want to go barreling into trouble." he suggested, a troubled look set deep into his multicolored eyes.

[Brownie]

Sammy had already started to follow the path when Eileen had suddenly stopped her.
"Sammy, wait!" She said.
"We need to ssstart heading to the rainbow now before it getsss to late, otherwissse we mossst likely won't get there in time." Sam replied cooly.
"But we still need to do the meeting!" Eileen said.
Sammy had suddenly come to a stop. "Can't we do the meeting while walking, though?"
"I don't know...Ask the others and see if they're ok with it." Said she, taking a thorn out of her paw.
Sam nodded. "Ok then, what do you pupsss think about it?"

[Shinki]

Leofric jumped up and bounded next to Sammy, but avoided the path.

"We can walk and talk!" He said.

[Brownie]

"Alrighty!" Grinned Sam, as he continued slithering along the pathside, laughing in a hissy way for it tickled his belly. "Apearantly it's sssettled by mossst of the pupsss that we should ssstart with the golden path, which is the mossst sssussspicious of the things we've dissscovered."
"If you say it's the most suspicious, why are you alongside it?" Interrupted Eileen, who was always more cautious than Sammy.
"Whoopsssy..." Sammy said with a small chuckle, gliding off the path. "My bad! That isss why we mussst have a meeting. To sssettle this myssstery of the golden path, and decide wether we should follow it or not, for sssome still sssay that we should follow it."

(OOC: If you read the last few pages you should be pretty well recapped, but in general, we're still some ways off from finding the end. A golden path was discovered, but it ended up being dangerous, and it was also discovered that the rainbow has a scent (like a fruit cocktail). But seeing as all the pups were confused, Misty and Patrick called in a meeting. XD

Elrohir laughed at Sammy, "You know Sammy, sometimes I think you act before thinking. I thought that was a trait only known to pups."

[Brownie]

Both Eileen and Sammy were laughing with Elrohir. "Apparently not." Said Sammy, making sure once more that she wasn't following the path.
"That's Sam for you!" Eileen said with a giggle, patting--or pawing I should say--Elrohir on the back.

Shinki, I'm a little confused at what you're going at, sorry. ^^; Are the pups still going to follow the rainbow? Because if the end reaches all the way to the end of the world, that's pretty much impossible for them to reach the end I think. x3
But the idea sounds interesting, I'm just a tad confuzzled. :3)

River keep up with the other pups and will follow anybody. He just hopes that the rainbow was not fading away to fast.

Lady stayed close to everyone, she did not mind what they did as long as they worked as a team.

"But Guys..." Chewwy said. "WHY would we follow the path again in cookie's name? Can't you see there is something WRONG with it. I am pretty, pretty, pretty sure it will lead us to nowhere, but if that is what you want, go a head, but I think we are smart puppies who follow the scent.
I I wanted someone to stay a way from something I would make a path and trap them, for sure.
Scent is what we pupps always follow."

(OOC: Sorry Misty, I figured that bit may be a bit confusing. The rainbow doesn't really go to the end of the world. I was just reminded of Winnie the Pooh's adventure in finding the North Pole while I was writing that bit, and even though it is not very far, it feels like the edge of the world to the puppies, because they are getting close to the mountains. Probably close to a cliff where they can't get to the other side, because that's an "edge". We're still following the rainbow, and for now the golden path looks like it's going the same direction, so walking along the path might be convenient. The pups already have a reason to suspect that the path is not everything that it seems to be, but no one is hurt, so they may decide to walk along it anyway. What the creature is and why it made the path, or even if it really did make the path, is all up to those RPing here. I just wanted to introduce some conflict into our little story.

@lizy: The pups are following the scent. It was discovered that the fruity smell was coming from the rainbow itself, so the pups would really just be following the rainbow. The path just so happens to be going the same way, or at least that's what Leofric saw and told the others.)

(OOC: hahahaha Lizy... in cookie's name... that's funny to me because one of my robot boys goes by Cookie. haha that's just funny to me.

Elrohir kept laughing but then stopped when Chewwy spoke. "I don't see anything to wrong. Yes I think we have to make sure not to lick it ((someone said that earlier... IDK if I am correct)), and it may be best to have Bianca and Sammy ride on someone because they are so close to it, not just their paws making contact, their whole bodies. But other than that I think it's pretty safe, and we will have a better chance of making it to the end if we follow it."

[Brownie]

(OOC: Yeah, Eileen said that. )

"Yesss, perhapsss that would be bessst." Hissed Sammy as she climbed onto Eileen's back.
"But what about all the other snakes? There's still Jeff, Xavier, Betsy, Jack, and George." Said Eileen, watching Sam slither up her paw.
"Eileen doesss have a point, there. But I sssuppose they could jussst ride on any pup." Sam said as she coiled herself around Eileen's leg.
"I suppose they could, just as long as the pup is careful--hey, make sure you're not too tight in there!" Warned Eileen, lifting her paw.
"Of Courssse." Said Sammy with sort of a grin.

"Oh right!" Elrohir said. "Any of them can ride on me, that's fine."
