(I'm confused too; I think it's because everyone posting at different points in time in the RPG as they catch up... if anyone understands what I mean XD)

Lady plodded along the fresh meadows. She smelt in the scent and followed it with her friends. "You are seeing the path again?" She asked. "Maybe it's giving us visions.. or illusions." She said. Lady carefully placed her feet infront of her. "Let's just be careful.. Ok?" She said, worryingly.

(OOC : I'm quite confused, but hopefully this puts us somewhere? :s)

River had been following and got ahead for a bit but he was near by. He had noticed the golden path and see everyone was heading that way he just walked along. River had started down and was on the path with the other when he saw Shep come runing and tumbling foward. River let out a warning to"Shep, watch out please as River walked down the golden path." But it was to late and River when tumbling with him into the wet grass that was everyone was gathering at the end off the golden path.

River looked down at this paws and he just looked at all this golden paint on him and his paws and started to bark and laugh. "Leofric, said River. I been saying I been seeing something in the sky that was sliding down something like a fading rainbow and possible it was a leprechaun?"

(OOC: I thought the scent was coming from the rainbow? The path smelled like cookies and there was another scent in the air, which I thought was from the rainbow. Everyone seemed to still be on the path and simply talking about following the strange smell.

People need to be aware of the setting and be clear of what the setting is in their post so that there is not as much confusion. RPGs can be very confusing if you're not very clear, and since an RPG requires the cooperation of all involved, then we need to be careful to read the posts that come before ours, and stay consistent. If someone in a post before us describes a setting as a little stream in the middle of the forest, we cannot suddenly end up in a large meadow unless we explain how we got there in our post. If someone describes a cloudy day in one post, we cannot suddenly have cloudless blue skies in another post.

I understand that many of us are new to roleplaying, so it's a bit of a learning process. I'm a bit of a veteran at RPGs and storytelling in general, so I'm just throwing a few tips out there to those who may need a little help. Just remember to be clear about what is happening in your post, be consistent with what is going on in other people's posts, and have fun creating a story together! )

Edit:(TLO I did read your post. I'm not ignoring your post, but if you read my post, you'll see that Leofric was not in a position to hear what Lynn said. He was intoxicated by the path, and then was too busy getting away from the path and it's smells to hear what Lynn said. If your character had talked directly to Leofric, that would be different, but my character is not psychic. Nor does he have super hearing. Our puppies form a large group on an adventure, and just like in real life some characters may ignore others, not hear what others say, misunderstand what others say, or simply choose not to say anything.

Try getting Leofric's attention and asking him for help directly, he'd be more than happy to be useful in this adventure. )

"Visions and illusions are not good," Chewwy said thoughtfully.
"what if we just close our eyes and follow the smell?" She looked up to the other pups.
"What do you think?"

River: I would not want to close the eyes for we could run into each other or into something. He was responded to "Chewwy." River remain siting in the wet grass that was at the end of the golden path that seem that was painted on.

[Brownie]

Neither Sammy or Eileen spoke much, for they were thinking. "Mmm...Or maybe Skittles are at the end? They are the colors of the rainbow, after all."
"Leofric and Lynn are right! What if it isss a trap?" Said Sammy suddenly, a little worried. But Eileen couldn't stop licking the ground. "Eileen, ssstop it!" Snapped Sam, whipping her tail very lightly at her ear.
"I'm sorry...It probably is a trick. But maybe...Maybe the leprechauns don't mean any harm." Said Eileen. She didn't like the thought of steeling the treasure, like you always see the kids do in the cereal advertisements.
"Eileen isss probably right, they're mossst likely jussst guarding their treasure so nobody steels it. Perhapsss we could make friendsss with them, and maybe they'll share?" Said Sammy in agreement. He didn't like the thought of steeling either, and he didn't think the MnF ninjas would be needed. "I think we should jussst follow the ssscccent, like the others suggesssted."

(OOC- @shinki OK that's fine. It's just that in a lot of cases in the RPG's I do, a person not reading the post is why their character never responded to someone else's character. This is probably because my RPG's are more freestyle and laid-back and the fact that it is solely role playing, and the person posting as the character hears and reads everything that every character says, is kept in mind. But here, it is more of a story creation RPG, so it is made as though the characters are not controlled by anyone and are therefore not all-knowing. I'm gonna have to keep that in mind! XD)

Lynn nodded. "You could be right Lady. We better get to the bottom of this..." He padded quickly over to Leofric and nudged him on the shoulder.
"Hey, do you think you can do a quick fly-by over the trees, and see if you can spot anything at the end of the rainbow?" he asked, sniffing the air for the fruity smell once again.

River could hear all that was going around but as we waited for a responds from who he asked he walk and follow the others.

Misty followed everyone closely, her amber eyes fixed on the colors of the rainbow, it had been flickering for some time, but it seemed to have stopped as the sun came back out of the clouds, getting lower and lower in the sky with every joyful step. It wouldn’t be long before the afternoon passed and evening star began twinkling above the grassland. But Misty wasn’t worried about the time, because by now, it was pretty clear the rainbow had something magical about it, especially since there was talk of a glittering golden path, something flying in the sky, and a smell that resembled a fruit cocktail.

“By far the strangest rainbow ever!” Misty giggled, pawing at the thick golden liquid curiously. She was doing fine just examining it with wide, curious eyes, until one of the puppies mentioned it tasted like freshly baked sugar cookies. She couldn’t help herself, she took a big lick from the path, and, not long after Lady, toppled over with a little splash and hiccuped. “Whups.”

Patrick gasped, “Leofrick is right, get off the path guys!” He yipped worriedly, dragging Misty by the scruff off the golden trail, her paws dripping as she giggled mindlessly.

“Yeah…let’s just follow the scent.” Misty mumbled, shaking herself free from the effects of the syrupy sweet path. Patrick cocked his head curiously, listening to talk of illusions and flying and the rainbow’s scent.

“We were already following the scent though, the rainbow’s scent.” Patrick said. “And even if the path is dangerous, if it’s leading us in the direction of the end of the rainbow, there isn’t much we can do about that, right?”

“Right.” Xavier hissed, rearing up so he is seen. “I believe it would be bessst if we had another meeting, Missty and Patrick.” The snakes, who had been wriggling about along the path, slithered back up to them and nodded their heads.

Misty nodded in agreement, slightly confused, but still very excited. “Good idea. A mini meeting it is then! Ok everyone, listen up!” Misty barked, her woof seeming small in the field, but with few trees around to disrupt the sound, her voice was loud and clear enough to be heard.


(OOC: Nothing like a meeting to clear up confusion. But Shinki is right guys, it may get confusing, but it's a lot easier if you keep consistent and pay attention to everyone's posts. :3 Hopefully the little meeting clears everything up.
Oh, and I'm just going to go with the scent coming from the rainbow, it seems the most logical, but if anyone is against this then tell me please. :3

Lynn heard Misty's bark from a few fox-leaps ahead, and bonded over to her eagerly.
"Thank goodness! I was starting to get really confused with everyone yowling at the top of their lungs." the pup tiredly wiped a paw across his forehead.
"Hurry everypup! Let's not take all day!" he called across the wavy field grass goodnaturedly.

[Brownie]

"A meeting sssounds like fun!" Said Sammy.
"I wouldn't call it fun...More like usefull." Eileen replied, scratching her neck where an itch was. "So, where do we begin? The part when we saw the golden path?"
"I think that'sss a good place to ssstart." Sam hissed, flickering her toung.

[Lindz]

River heard the bark from Misty and came running to where they were gathering for this meeting. As he came running over he "Where to start Misty or Patrick?" "Though a Golden path would be a good place to start if that what every pup can agree."

"Dangerous?" Shep's tongue which was greedily licking up the golden paint snapped back into his mouth. He did feel kind of dizzy now... Shaking his head, Shep said, plopping down, "Okay, a meeting. Good, we need one of those." He looked around and inhaled deeply again. Maybe it'd be best to follow that smell... Oh, this is making me want some wild raspberries...

[Brownie]

"Sssnap out of it!" Hissed Sammy as she lightly slapped Shep and Bianca with her tail.
"Stop that!" Shouted Eileen.
"What? It triggersss their flight-or-fight response, and that preventsss them from getting so dizzy. That'sss why I--very gently--ssslap them with my tail." Said she.
"Very lightly indeed." Mumbled Eileen.
"Now, now. I'm sssure it didn't hurt, right Shep and Bianca?" Sammy said. "But anyway, we need to get on with the meeting. Ssso far two--I mean three, including me, have said that it'd be bessst to ssstart on the part where we dissscovered the golden pathway. But Misssty needsss to be the one to agree with that, ssseeing as she is in charge of the meeting. Am I right, Misty? Or isss it Patrick?"

Kalivo (middle) will be going on this adventure. He's outgoing and always tries to get everyone around him to do what he thinks is best. He struggles with patience and understanding above all things, but unless everyone obeys him he prefers to be by himself. He is very protective of his friends and will defend them fiercely (but not fearlessly) against most danger. He tries hard to be a good example to the rest of the pups, and he dreams of being Alpha like his parents when he grows up.

Diosca barked gratefully. "A meeting would be great, we need to get organised if we want to find this rainbow before it gets dark... and without running into any mean creatures!"

(OOC: where are we?? Sorry I haven't posted at all, I had to go to work with my dad for two days.)

(OOC: If you read the last few pages you should be pretty well recapped, but in general, we're still some ways off from finding the end. A golden path was discovered, but it ended up being dangerous, and it was also discovered that the rainbow has a scent (like a fruit cocktail). But seeing as all the pups were confused, Misty and Patrick called in a meeting. XD)

"A meeting sounds like a fantastic idea." Elrohir said as he stood by Lady. "I have no clue what's going on, so a meeting would be great."
